Terilli's Dallas
The Terilli’s exterior does its job before you walk in — red neon sign on a historic brick building, string lights strung across the patio, Greenville Avenue energy at night. It’s a room that’s been running long enough to know what it is, and it delivers on the promise.
Parking is not a problem here, which on Greenville is worth noting: free valet out front makes the whole thing easier before you’ve even sat down.
Order the espresso martini. It’s a 10/10 — perfect foam, well-balanced coffee-to-spirit ratio, served cold and sharp. It’s the kind of cocktail that makes a strong argument for ordering a second before the first is gone. The broader cocktail program is solid too: the lemon drop martini and Old Fashioned both landed correctly.
On the food: the lobster ravioli is the dish to get. We didn’t photograph it but the plate was gone fast — rich, properly sauced, the kind of pasta that justifies the trip. The portions across the menu run generous; plan accordingly, because you are leaving with a box.
Skip the calamari. It’s not bad, but it’s the weakest thing on the table — underseasoned, nothing distinctive about the preparation — and the menu has better options. Not worth the stomach real estate.
Dessert is worth saving room for. The tiramisu is done right: proper mascarpone layer, good coffee soak, clean close to the meal. The chocolate cake is also on the table and it’s exactly what you’d expect — no complaints.
The room itself earns its own mention: white tablecloths, bud vases with roses, warm pendant lighting, bar murals that add personality without being busy. The dining side and bar side run at different speeds; the bar is louder and more social, the dining room is where you go when you want to actually hear the table.
The verdict: Terilli’s is a reliable Greenville Avenue anchor. The espresso martini and lobster ravioli are the reasons to go — both are excellent. Come hungry, skip the calamari, and don’t skip dessert.
