Even Coast Addison
Even Coast is a Big Dill Hospitality concept off Belt Line Road in Addison, and it earns its reputation fast. The interior is beautiful — a cascading chandelier over the bar, marble tables, a dark patterned backdrop behind the bottle wall — and the room fills up with a lively crowd that knows where it is. The atmosphere and the design feel like a bigger city than Addison, which is part of the point.
The bar program is one of the best in the Dallas area, full stop. The cocktail menu is built with genuine depth — they stock the ingredients to make a Naked and Famous, which is a reliable signal of how seriously they take the back bar. Their signature The Last Word — Roku Gin, Green Chartreuse, Luxardo, lime, limoncello foam — is absolutely incredible. Balanced, bright, complex without being fussy. Drinks: 10/10.
Start with the yellowtail crudo. It’s the best thing on the table: thin slices of yellowtail fanned out over a ponzu-truffle oil base, layered with sliced cucumber arranged in a clean spiral, jalapeño, and sesame. Flavorful, precise, the kind of appetizer that makes you wish you’d ordered two. The calamari is lightly breaded and fried, served with two dipping sauces and uniquely mixed with vegetables — it’s a terrific pairing, a fresher take on a format that usually plays it safe.
For mains, the plancha burger is solid and the scallops are well-executed — Hokkaido sea scallops in a golden broth with frisée and roasted red pepper, a clean and satisfying plate. But the prime rib sandwich is the standout. Every component is thoughtfully curated: the bread, the cut of beef, the au jus on the side, the pickles. It’s the kind of sandwich where you notice that someone made real decisions about each element rather than just building a sandwich. Order it.
Service was immaculate throughout — attentive, warm, the kind of front-of-house that makes you feel like the table is being looked after without being managed. The vibes match the room: high energy, well-run, clearly a place people are happy to be at.

The verdict: Even Coast is one of the best restaurants in Addison and one of the better overall dining experiences in the Dallas area. The bar program alone is worth the trip; the food backs it up. Don’t skip the yellowtail crudo and don’t skip The Last Word.
