Brentwood Dallas — an ode to Hillstone, located in the Addison neighborhood by Vandelay Hospitality.
The evening began with a pear martini, a spicy margarita, and ahi tuna tartare. The jalapeño salt rim on the margarita provided notable heat. The tartare was delicious and came with a deviled egg.
For main courses, we ordered the redfish with fried shrimp, mashed potatoes, and coleslaw. All flavors blended harmoniously, with the coleslaw standing out as an unexpected highlight. The French dip — mirroring Hillstone’s version — featured pungent horseradish sauce.
