Haywire Plano Legacy West

Haywire is a Texas staple — Western-themed interior, farm-to-table menu, and the kind of place that’s always poppin’ on a Friday night.

The interior is genuinely a vibe. It’s a massive restaurant with multiple stories, several distinct dining areas, and two patios. The space does a lot of the heavy lifting, and it works. You walk in and immediately understand what this place is going for.

Food came in at a solid 7/10 — nothing particularly special, but good. Same story with the drinks: tasty, no complaints, nothing that’s going to stop conversation. Service was slow (4/10), but the server had enough warmth and self-awareness about the pace to keep it from being frustrating.

The honest take: Haywire isn’t a destination meal. It’s a perfectly fine option if you’re already at Legacy West and need somewhere to eat. For a special night out, there are better calls. But for a casual dinner with a group who wants atmosphere and a reliable Texas experience, it does the job.

The verdict: Go if you’re in the neighborhood. Don’t drive across town for it.
